The story of the Pierces is almost too perfect: two sisters who grew up in a benignly hippie southern family - they grew up singing in church and on an un-kidlike diet of healthy hippie food- now plying their close harmonies and sensitive nature in pop music. Oh, and they're both quite beautiful, which only exacerbates the disbelief

It was a magic moment when we met Milkshake and the Chopstick Abuser down in the subway of Berlin. Their mixture of tribal rhythms and megaphone-distorted vocals ensured an enthusiastic audience. We're looking forward to what they've come up with next as they hit the Berlin streets again in April 2012. Watch out for them!

Johnstons song writing started early. When I was a kid, probably nine, I used to bang around on the piano, making up horror movie themes, he says. When I got a bit older, Id be mowing my lawn and Id make up songs and sing them. No one could hear me cause of the lawn mower.
