Spiritual songbook": Last year saw the release of Kristins first
solo-album, based on African-American spirituals. The album as well as
the extended European release-tour was met with outstanding reviews!
The album has received a Platinum Disc and the Norwegian Music Awards
(equ to Grammy) nomination. Kristin Asbjørnsen has recently made her
international debut as a film score composer for the movie Factotum,
based on a novel by Charles Bukowski. A Norwegian/American production
by Bent Hamer/Jim Stark. Her soundtrack album "FACTOTUM" is being

Norwegian singer and composer. Known for her very personal way of
singing; Kristins trademark sound is rich with contrasts and dynamics,
with strong melancholy and a feisty devilish energy. Featured on a
number of album releases, as well as a series of tours and festival
performances in Europe, Kristin has until now focused mainly on work
with her two ensembles Dadafon and Krøyt, where her own compositions
play a core role. She has won several national Music Awards.
