Iiris is an artist full of mystery and magic who has ventured into a
secret dimension where pop, rock, innovation, synthesizers, classical
piano, electronic soundscapes, zombies, cats and unicorns all become
one.
According to MTV Iggy: "A depressingly few amount of bands have “it”. In
fact, I'm pretty sure I didn't know what “it” was, until I listened to
Estonian singer/songwriter/pianist IIRIS. She has the eclecticism, the
smarts, the innovation, the pop sound, not to mention the
adorable/pretty image to become a huge mega mega mega star."
2010 was a year that rocketed Iiris into the spotlight. After the
showcase festival „Tallinn Music Week“, Iiris got people talking. She
also won the main prize, „Skype's Go Change The World Award“, voted by
foreign delegates of Tallinn Music Week. The aim of that prize was to
support the most potential new breakthrough artist shown at the
festival.
Iiris has performed at various showcase festivals like Popkomm, Iceland Airwaves 2011, Music
& Media and The Great Escape. Currently she is crafting her debut
album with the mad scientist, producer and co-writer Ago „Sethh“
Teppand.
